Film Premiere

Join us for the Wisconsin premiere of Houston and Debbie Coley's debut feature, A Kingdom of Tea and Strangers with music and sound design by Nate Sheppard. A Kingdom of Tea and Strangers is a feature-length documentary that chronicles a summer term at L'Abri Fellowship in southern England, a short-term community housed in a 300-year-old manor house that provides shelter for the spiritually disaffected by giving space for honest questions. The film follows a group of students from around the world as they grapple with finding spirituality and belonging both in the context of the short-term community of L’Abri and in their everyday lives as they return home. Doors open at 6:30PM and the event starts at 7PM. The evening will include a Q&A discussion after the film with filmmaker (Houston Coley) and composer (Nate Sheppard), both of whom have spent time at English L'Abri. The event will be held at The Hilgermann Center in downtown Rhinelander. Free street parking is available all around the center.
