Event Description:
Rhinelander, WI is set to explode with energy as over 1000 middle and high school co-ed student-athletes and their families roll into town for the Hodag Hustle Mountain Bike Festival, part of the Wisconsin Interscholastic Cycling League—a proud chapter of the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA). Student-athletes from 6th to 12th grade will push their limits, test their skills, and enjoy tons of adventure while racing and exploring the scenic mountain bike trails at Camp Tesomas (5403 Spider Lake Rd, Rhinelander). The buzz is electric as everyone gears up for an unforgettable weekend filled with excitement and camaraderie. The local Rhinelander Northwoods team will be one of the 101 teams participating. The course includes challenging single-track trails built and maintained by Camp Tesomas staff and campers, the Rhinelander Area Silent Trials Association (RASTA) and Bike N Boards. But this event is about more than just racing! Teams and families will also dive into fun, non-racing activities and other local trails, all while soaking up the festival vibes. It’s the perfect opportunity to bond, celebrate, and revel in the NICA spirit. The real adrenaline rush hits on Sunday, October 5, when the racing kicks off at 8:15 AM with the Varsity athletes, and continues through the afternoon, wrapping up with awards at 4:00 PM. Expect non-stop action, intense competition, and high-speed thrills as these young athletes have tons of fun testing their skills! Media is invited to capture every heart-pounding moment as these riders give it their all. Don’t miss out on this must-see event—it’s going to be a fun ride!
