Event Description:
Ever wonder about gamefish and how they live? Minocqua Winter Park announces the next offering in their seven-event “Walk on the Wild Side Series,” exploring “Just Below the Surface: The Secret Lives of Northern Wisconsin’s Most Popular Fishes.” Covering all topics of fisheries ecology, the event, presented by Stephanie Shaw from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, will be held at the Minocqua Winter Park chalet, 7543 Squirrel Lake Road, Minocqua, WI 54548 on Sunday, June 28 at 1:00 pm. Shaw, a Northern Lakes Fishery Scientist for the Office of Applied Science Research Team, dishes up the fish, providing participants with a better understanding of fish life cycles, where they go, what they do and how they reproduce and thrive in all seasons. She’ll also answer questions about how the research gets done, from population tracking to population health.
