Time: 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM CDT
Event Description:
Join us for an evening of music, reminiscing, fun, and fundraising. The silent auction closes at 8 pm. This fundraising event is a key source of funding for the RHS Karen Kitze Scholarship. Karen was an English teacher for over forty years, most of them at RHS. She was both demanding and supportive, and her students loved her for that. Karen was a devoted wife (her husband Mike also taught at RHS just down the hall from her classroom), mother to three great kids--all of whom are RHS grads-- an avid reader, master gardener, and traveler. Above all she was a social activist, fighting for the rights of women, inclusion, and equality for all the disenfranchised. A true child of the sixties, she participated in countless protests and marches, right up to her untimely death at the age of 72 (Sep 7, 2021).
