Time: 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM CST

Join guest presenter and salamander enthusiast Tracey Grimek to discover the world of salamanders! These curious amphibians can be found in and around wetlands across Wisconsin, and are beloved for their silly expressions and charming, leisurely demeanor. Through a visual presentation, Tracey will introduce you to salamander life history, Wisconsin species, folklore, and more. We'll discuss the importance of wetland habitats, how their disappearance threatens salamander survival, and what you can do to help salamanders thrive. You'll even have the chance to observe a live tiger salamander (Ambystoma tigrinum), and learn how salamander keepers like Tracey care for them in captivity!
