Name: Wildlife Wednesdays
Date: June 18, 2025
Time: 8:30 PM - 9:30 PM CDT
Event Description:
Wildlife Wednesdays: Frogs/Toads

Discover wildlife that calls Wisconsin's Northwoods home through Wildlife Wednesdays at Treehaven! Join us monthly for this FREE all-ages program series, and explore the natural history of each month's focus animal through interactive activities, guided walks, and/or specimen observation. From fur to feathers, woods to water, predator to prey, and more, experience the diversity of the animal world right outside our windows!
Every spring and summer, a chorus livens up our waters and wetlands! There are 12 species of frogs and toads (also known as anurans) that call Wisconsin home, and each species' vocalists sing in a unique tune. Pay a visit to scenic Dragonfly Pond as the sun sets to hone your listening skills and learn whose call is whose!
Talk will occur outdoors seated in a shelter around the fire ring, with the option to walk further downhill to the pond shore for better listening. All ages welcome, but children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
