Join Timber Wolf Information Network (TWIN) wolf biologists and field crew for a Wisconsin Wolf Ecology and Management Workshop. Morning lectures will cover wolves’ natural history and biology, wolf management principles, and human value systems – timely and important topics, given wolves’ status as keystone predators and the continuing controversies surrounding these animals. After lunch, you will head out to wolf territory with TWIN trackers for a close-up look at how wolves navigate and survive on the winter landscape. You will likely encounter wolf tracks, and other species as well, while you learn more about the winter predator/prey dynamic.
