We are currently seeking a Machinist CNC Lathe in our Rhinelander, WI location.  In this role, you will adjust and machining of small complex weldments and piece parts on a CNC Lathe with a high degree of accuracy on various sizes and related dimensions. In addition, you will demonstrate the ability to meet routed hours with a high level of detail to quality and modify and create programs as needed to meet company and customer requirements.   


MAJOR DUTIES:
  • Conversational programming on a Mazak Machine
  • Independently set up intricate parts and fixturing
  • Work from advanced drawings and job layouts
  • Machine intermediate to advanced parts with a high level of quality using materials such as Stainless Steel, Aluminum, exotic and high temperature alloys
  • Make all parts efficiently within print/contract details using materials
  • Overhead Crane operation and rigging
  • Setup tooling using machine setup documentation
  • Use drawings, specifications, and a wide variety of precision measuring instruments.
  • Maintain equipment and safe work area
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Basic M & G Code, blueprint reading and math skills is a plus
  • Machining knowledge in a manufacturing industry preferred
  • Completion of Machining program a plus
  • Worked with materials such as Stainless Steel, Aluminum, exotic and high temperature alloys a plus
  • Experience working with small complex weldments is preferred
  • Experience setting up quality gauging

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 60 pounds.
  • Long periods of standing.
