  • Status: Part-time, 15-20 hours/week
  • Compensation: $18-$20/hour
  • Reports To: Community and Cultural Development Director

About the Role
The Facilities Coordinator oversees ArtStart's physical space and operational infrastructure. This position ensures the building, vendor relationships, compliance requirements, and venue rental programs run reliably and safely. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of physical operations. 
Key Responsibilities
  • Building Operations & Compliance: Oversee facility maintenance, schedule routine safety and mechanical inspections, ensure ADA compliance, and maintain required operational licenses and municipal permits. 
  • Vendor & Supply Management: Serve as the primary liaison for service vendors, contractors, and suppliers; maintain general office and janitorial inventory; and oversee beverage and hospitality operations as a licensed agent. 
  • Rentals & Tenant Management: Oversee short-term venue rentals and long-term tenant leases, including inquiries, scheduling, contracts, payment collection, logistics, and building access. 
  • Facilities & Grounds Upkeep: Coordinate indoor cleaning, maintain program equipment, oversee basic outdoor ground maintenance, and support the staff Building & Grounds committee. 
Qualifications
  • Background in facilities coordination, property management, or operational oversight
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to track recurring compliance schedules
  • Practical knowledge of building systems, safety standards, and vendor coordination
  • Possess or ability to obtain a Wisconsin bartending certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle physical labor (heavy lifting, climbing stairs, grounds maintenance)
  • Flexibility to respond to on-call operational needs or occasional evening/weekend events
