Mel’s Trading Post has been a staple store of Wisconsin's Northwoods for over 70 years, and we’re passionate about getting people outside. We’re looking for a friendly, outgoing, and customer-focused associate who wants to create an experience that keeps customers excited to come back.
As a Retail Sales Associate, you’ll help customers find the perfect gear, keep our store stocked and organized, and make sure every shopper leaves with exactly what they need for their next adventure. If you enjoy working with people, love the outdoors, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to have you on our team! Full time and Part-time positions available.

What You’ll Do:
• Provide top-notch customer service and help customers find what they need
• Work with a point-of-sale system to ring up purchases
• Stock and organize merchandise to keep the store looking great
• Assist with product entry and inventory management
• Learn about the latest outdoor gear and share your knowledge with customers
• Be part of a team that makes shopping at Mel’s a great experience
What We’re Looking For:
• Friendly, outgoing, and passionate about outdoor recreation
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently
• A team player who enjoys a fast-paced, hands-on work environment
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs
• No retail experience required—we’ll train the right person!
