The Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking artists interested in creating a new public mural in downtown Rhinelander.

The project is part of a larger effort to add more public art and create experiences that make Rhinelander a great place to live, work, and visit.

"Public art helps tell the story of a community and creates experiences people remember," said Lauren Sackett, CEO of the Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce. "We're excited to create a mural that reflects Rhinelander's personality and gives people another reason to explore downtown."

The mural will be located on the southern exterior wall of 2 N. Brown Street in downtown Rhinelander. Artists are encouraged to consider interactive and photo-friendly elements, family-friendly themes, and creative approaches that contribute to community pride and visitor engagement.

Interested artists are invited to submit their qualifications through the online application form no later than July 5, 2026. Concept designs are not required at this stage. Applicants will be asked to provide information about their experience, portfolio, references, and interest in the project.

Additional project details and the online submission form can be found at www.RhinelanderChamber.com/public-art-initiatives/.
