Into the Woods for Trick-or-Treat: YMCA of the Northwoods host ''Not So Scary'' Halloween Trail

Rhinelander, WI — October 2026 — Trick-or-Treat takes to the forest once again as the YMCA of the Northwoods hosts the beloved “Not So Scary” Halloween Trail on the Stoney Pines Trail behind the Y on Saturday, October 17th from 12:00PM to 3:00PM.

The ¾-mile crushed-granite trail winds through the woods, where community groups, businesses, and volunteers decorate festive stations and hand out candy to trick-or-treaters. This outdoor event is free to the community and provides a safe and family-friendly way to celebrate Halloween.

Event Details:

· Date & Time: Saturday, October 17, 12:00PM – 3:00PM

· Location: Stoney Pines Trail, YMCA of the Northwoods

· Parking: Primary parking at the Rhinelander Ice Arena with a connecting path to the trail entrance. For families with strollers or those needing an even surface, the sidewalk along Hwy 17 provides direct access.

· What to Bring: A Halloween treat bag and a non-perishable food donation for the Rhinelander Area Food Pantry (suggested).
