Park City Credit Union Donates $3,800 to Local Food Pantries

MERRILL, WISC. – As the need for food continues to grow, Park City Credit Union remains committed to our community by donating $3,800 to food pantries in Rhinelander, Minocqua, Tomahawk, and
Merrill. As a member-owned financial cooperative, Park City Credit Union values its members by putting people over profits and addressing the urgent needs in our community.

The donations, distributed as follows, will bring much-needed assistance to families during the holiday season:
● Tomahawk Food Pantry: $500
● Nokomis Food Pantry: $500
● Rhinelander Area Food Pantry: $800
● Lakeland Food Pantry: $800
● Merrill Food Pantry: $1,200

Due to inflation and high food costs, pantries are serving more families than ever before. The government shutdown in early November further compounded the situation by delaying federally
funded FoodShare benefits. As a result, many families—some seeking assistance for the first time – have turned to local pantries for support.

The donations are making an immediate impact in multiple communities. Thanks to this support, local food pantries can continue to provide essential food to families throughout the year and enhance their holiday meal offerings. In Merrill, the donation helped fund their Thanksgiving meals. In Rhinelander, the funds helped stock a Thanksgiving endcap, allowing shoppers to select items at best fit their needs. At
the Lakeland Food Pantry, the contribution supported Thanksgiving meal distribution and provided Trig’s gift cards.

“At Park City Credit Union, serving our communities is at the heart of everything we do,” said Adam Donner, Community Engagement Ambassador. “We’re proud to lend a helping
hand to our local food pantries as they face unprecedented demand. No one should have to go
hungry.”

Park City Credit Union’s commitment extends beyond financial support, as employees regularly volunteer their time to assist at food pantries, further embodying the credit union philosophy of “people helping people.” By working together with community partners, the credit union helps ensure that
no one in its community is left behind.
