Rhinelander District Library Adult Department: Upcoming Fall Event
Get ready for spooky season and discover Wisconsin’s Most Haunted Locations with Chad Lewis on Thursday, September 28th, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the Rhinelander library meeting room. This presentation takes the audience on a ghostly journey to some of the most haunted places in the state. It covers the entire state, from wandering ghosts in the North Woods, to a haunted B&B in Milwaukee. From phantom creatures prowling the woods to graveyard apparitions located in your own backyard, no place in WI is without its own hauntings.
The Rhinelander District Library and the North Lakeland Discovery Center are excited to present Bats of Wisconsin on Monday, October 9th from 4:30-5:30 p.m. in the library meeting room. Learn about the incredible adaptations and benefits of Wisconsin's bats with the North Lakeland Discovery Center--you'll get a chance to meet a live bat up close!
The Rhinelander District Library is pleased to announce the 3rd Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest. Pick up a pumpkin at the library from October 20th-27th or use your own. Carve with care and return your jack-o-lantern masterpiece to the library by Saturday, October 28th for voting and display. Pumpkins donated by Walmart of Rhinelander—limit one per family while supplies last.
The Rhinelander District Library is proud to present Workshop Wednesdays, the 3rd Wednesday of every month in the library meeting room from 2:00-4:00 p.m., starting October 18th. Workshop Wednesdays is a pop-up craft area and Makerspace. Use a sewing machine for free, learn specialized skills from local experts, and work on your ongoing crafting projects.
